One of the biggest surprises during The 2021 Game Awards was the reveal that Among Us is stepping into the realm of virtual reality. Among Us VR was revealed with a brief teaser caravan in the midst of The Game Awards, and though it did n’t show veritably much, utmost of us presumably have a good enough grasp on the original game to imagine what a virtual reality interpretation of the game will be like.

Still, it’s nice to have a look at the game, and that’s precisely what we got in this short caravan from The Game Awards. In it, we can see the player character performing tasks in the iconic spaceship – this time rendered in 3D – before they ’re attacked by the fraud. Unfortunately, that’s all the caravan gives us, but if the thing for the caravan was getting the average Among Us addict agitated about the prospect of a unborn VR title, what we got was really each we demanded to see.

The shift to virtual reality could indeed bring some survival horror vibes that are missing from the standard game. Sorely, details are enough slim at this point in time. At the end of the caravan, it’s revealed that the game will come to Meta Quest 2, Steam VR, and PlayStation VR, but there’s no word of a release date yet.

On its blog, inventor Innersloth tells us that the VR interpretation will support multiplayer, but commonly, there wo n’t becross-play between the VR interpretation and the standard interpretation. Rather, when you play in VR, you ’ll be playing only with other VR players, united in your hunt to fix your boat and avoid the fakers among your crew.

For those who do n’t know what Among Us is, it’s basically a videotape game interpretation of the party game Mafia ( else known as Werewolf). Mafia is generally played in person, with players resolve into two groups the townies and the Mafiosi. That Mafiosi play a game of deception, trying to pass as regular townies while picking a townie to kill each night. Each day, the townies are informed of who was killed and attempt to determine who the hoaxers are, barring those whom the maturity suspects.

Among Us keeps the structure of Mafia, but puts the game in space and moves the setting from a vill to a spaceship. Regular players are given a series of tasks they need to complete, while the hoaxers have to kill off the crew while avoidingsuspicion. However, they win the game, If the crew finishes all of their objects or eliminates all of theimpostors. However, they win, If the hoaxers manage to kill the crewmembers before they complete their tasks or manage to spark a disaster aboard the boat.

Among Us has been around since 2018, but it soared to fashionability during the early stages of the COVID-19 epidemic when large figures of prospective gamers were stuck at home and could n’t play party games like Mafia in person. Now that we ’ve reached the point at which the brand Among Us can expand beyond its original piece of media, it’s time to make the jump to the coming most logical place virtual reality. Will you be dropping in on this game when the time comes for public release?

TCL pulls Google TVs from sale over software performance issues Previous post TCL pulls Google TVs from sale over software performance issues
Netflix has canceled its live- action Cowboy Bebop adaption lower than three weeks after the show premiered. Though early reviews for the series were low, some suckers had hoped Netflix would give its rearmost original a alternate chance to redeem itself. The streaming service is n’t known for keeping shows around for further than a many seasons, still, and it has a history of canceling far more popular originals precociously. The live- action Cowboy Bebop adaption is grounded on the megahit 1998 anime series by the same name. John Cho stars as Spike Spiegel alongside Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine and Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black, each one a “ buckaroo” hunting dangerous culprits while overrunning their own histories. Netflix ordered the series back in 2018, but multiple issues delayed the launch, including Cho’s time spent recovering from an on- set ACL injury in 2019 followed by epidemic- related product dislocations. Despite these issues, Netflix moved forward with the show and eventually released its first season on November 19. Unfortunately, the show’s early reviews were n’t favorable, and though some suckers allowed the live- action adaption may have implicit going forward, Netflix made the decision to scrap the series entirely (via THR). Netflix reportedly grated the figures and determined a alternate season’s cost would n’t be maintainable grounded on the first season’s viewership. The cost-vs-viewership analysis is commodity every Netflix series must face, and it’s an enduring chain. A number of once Netflix originals have been canceled over costs despite strong conditions, exemplifications of which include The OA and Sense8 (via The Wrap), because there were n’t enough people watching the shows to keep them profitable. Rotten Tomatoes puts the adaption’s critical event at 46-percent and its followership standing at 56-percent. The tendency to cancel its originals after only two or three seasons has proven frustrating to some Netflix subscribers. Numerous putatively popular and high- quality shows have fallen victim to the company’s number- scraping, including Altered Carbon, Santa Clarita Diet, Tuca & Bertie, and further (via Wired). Only a fairly small number of originals survive for four or further seasons, substantially aged successes like Orange is the New Black and BoJack Horseman. As for the live- action Cowboy Bebop, the first and only season remains available to watch on Netflix. The streaming platform is also home to the original anime for those who want to reexperience the cartoon or watch it for the first time.
